I was born in Calgary, AB. I lived there for two years. This is my first home. Where Mommy and Daddy brought me from the hospital, where I took my first steps and said my first word. So many great memories. But now it is time to move on. After ten years of being away from Prince Albert, Mommy said she is finally ready to move back home (kinda). She wants me to be close to family and friends. And she always gets a good parking spot at Superstore. I also noticed my Dad Isn't yelling at the traffic anymore. I think I am going to like this little city. There are lots of things we are going to miss about Calgary. The culture, McMahon Stadium, planet organic, the food (Lebanese pitas, Vietnamese subs, East Indian butter chicken....)southland water park, independent films, chinooks, the farmer's market, Daddy's really going to miss reffing basketball, Mommy's really going to miss Aunty Lou and Aunty Bee (and all the delicious suppers) and Baby Gap too, and I am really going to miss gymboree and my first babysitter/favorite girl Miss Maddy. Peace out Calgary.
colorful memory
Mini golfing is awesome. I saw my Dad putt into the water trap so I did too, over and over and over again. I even went for a little dip myself.
When Mommy was putting me to bed last night she asked me what color my golf ball was. I told her it was black. She was impressed that I remembered so I went on to tell her that she had a pink ball, Daddy had a green ball, Roka had a blue ball, Grandpa had an orange ball and Grandma had a red ball. What's the big deal?
Sandy Bay
I went to Candle Lake and slept in a tent last night. I tried having a nap yesterday but that didn't happen. I was crying in my playpen standing up and I told my Mom "Deer". She didn't believe me at first and then she looked out the tent and sure enough there was a deer. We did a switcheroo in the middle of the night. Daddy went from floor to air mattress, I went from playpen to air mattress and Roka went from air mattress to playpen. Whatever works! I loved the shallow beach, looking for frogs and catching bugs, I loved fishing and making a fire and I loved falling asleep to the sound of rain on the tent. I can't wait to go camping again.
